Instructions for GADGETS disk 1.0
     Welcome to the Amiga Gadgets disk!  All of the gadgets on this disk can
be run on a standard 256k Amiga with a single drive with the exception of
the mount and diskchange gadgets.  These two devices are for use with your
soon-to-come updated version of Kickstart.  They will allow you to use your
5 1/4 drive (assuming you have one) for Amiga storage, as well as IBM
storage.  To move these files, you must move the Icons, as well as the mount
and diskchange commands in the "C" directory, and the "mountlist" file in
the CLI and resetting the clock.  To move this gadget, copy the icon.
because they will not only not work, but will probably crash your machine.
   Rest assures, however, that all of the other gadgets on this disk are
fully implemented!

   The Settime gadget will, when double-clicked, ask you for the current
sime, and save it to RAM and disk.  It is much easier to use than going into
the CLI and resetting the clock.  To move this gadget, copy the icon
   The Setdate gadget works in the same way as the settime gadget, only for
the date (surprised?). to move this gadget, copy only the icon.
   The Telltime and Telldate icons open a window on the screen and display
the current time and date.  To move telltime, copy the icon and the ditm
file. To move telldate, copy only the icon.
   The Printdir gadget will print a directory of any disk you like.  To use
Printdir, you must choose the printdir icon, then AS SOON AS THE DRIVE LIGHT
HAS GONE OUT, insert the disk for directory in the 10 seconds allowed.
This will print an exact duplicate to the printer of what you would see if
you typed "dir" To move this file, copy the icon and the direr file.
   The Printdir_Alphabetically works in exactly the same way as the printdir
gadget, only it prints an alphabetized directory of every file in every
drawer on the disk.  This gadget does use a large amount of memory
space for the file sort, but you should have no trouble with it.  To move
this file, just copy the icon and the abcdir file.
   The C-TO-RAM gadget is very useful to Persons with only a single drive
system.  It loads the entire dos directory into RAM, removing the need for
having the "boot-up" disk in the drive, and freeing the drive for other
work.  Note - if you have a 256k system, this gadget will use up ALL of your
free memory!  to move, copy the icon.
   The Iconimator gadget is a truly unique gadget.  It allows you to draw
two icons and save them to disk to form a two-frame animate sequence for any
icon.  This file has it's own auto - loading "iconinstructions" instruction
file for complete details on using the gadget and printing the instruction
file.
   The Sayer gadget will open up a pair of text-to-speech windows in which
you can type anything and hear it said, as well as change all aspects of the
voice.  To move this file, copy the icon.
   The Printer_window gadget is very useful to those with a printer.  It
opens up a console window, and prints anything you type to the printer.
To escape from this gadget, press CTRL-C and RETURN - Note, for some reason,
once this gadget is used and closed, it will no longer print when reopened
until the next re-boot.  It is a good idea to print what you need, and leave
the window open somewhere on the workbench while you work.  To move, copy
the icon.
   The run-me-first file gets you here, as you can see, and the "printinst"
file will print these instructions to the printer for reference.
